8th Annual Family Law Summit / 8-9 June 2011

Andrew Wiltshire will be attending and also presenting at the Annual Family Law Summit this year.  This conference will give an overview of the important updates in Family Law.


This year, the conference will cover issues such as:

Andrew Wiltshire will be on the discussion panel for bankruptcy and insolvency.  Discussions will include:

  • Identifying the status of the bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings
  • Pre-insolvency strategising
  • Balancing the priorities on the creditors’ side
  • Resolving issues with the clash of two statutory regimes
  • Trustees’ approach to Family Court proceedings
  • Liquidators and external controllers’ approach to Family Court proceedings

Issues between parents regarding the Immunisation of a child

In the case of Redden & Mains [2010] FMCAfam 1338 (9 December 2010) this issue was addressed.  From the earliest orders relating to the parenting of the children in the matter, there had been an important, but often overlooked, order in place preventing the children from being immunised. It was the father’s evidence that he only consented to the Injunction to immunisation so he could begin spending time with his daughter.
