De facto Agreements
Binding Financial Agreements can now be entered by those living in a de facto relationship or after they have separated.
From 1 March 2009 de facto agreements can be entered pursuant to the provisions of the Family Law Act.
Agreements entered prior to 1 March 2009 pursuant to the various state legislators will continue to be binding and enforceable.
